Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. (IDSI) and blackshark.ai will be displaying an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhanced database on IDSI’s VisionFlex dvLED display at I/ITSEC 2024.

IDSI will collaborate with blackshark.ai at I/ITSEC 2024 in Orlando, Florida, from December 2nd to 5th to showcase a large-scale 3D digital twin. This demonstration will utilize IDSI’s VisionFlex dvLED curved display to highlight photorealistic, geo-representative and asset-specific digital twin models and highly detailed terrain models, real satellite imagery, and vegetation.

The geospatial platform developed by blackshark.ai leverages AI to extract data about the planet’s infrastructure from current satellite and aerial imagery via AI machine learning. This allows the reconstruction of the Earth’s terrain, infrastructure, and cultural elements, including how lighting affects different environments across the globe. A cloud-computing capability enables rapid updates at any time. Sensor simulation and NVG setups are also possible thanks to an extensive asset library including material attribution.

The IDSI curved Direct View LED (dvLED) display surrounds the viewer in a life-like immersive environment demonstrating how dvLED is well suited for simulation and training environments. With its inherent high brightness, high contrast, and color accuracy, dvLED provides the viewer with a high level of visual fidelity in any time-of-day (TOD) setting. The blackshark.ai terrain content, with its high-fidelity imagery and its realistic physics based night-time cultural lighting is ideal content for dvLED. Users can pair the dvLED display system with IDSI’s Vision Manager (including the Unreal Engine plugin) for the flexibility to tune Unreal Engine’s TOD settings for optimal training conditions.

blackshark.ai’s innovative AI-based global digital twin technology is a new tool that enhances training realism for training content developers.
I/ITSEC is always a great venue to show new training capabilities that our industry can experience first-hand.

The VisionFlex dvLED display perfectly complements our high-precision, physics-based 3D terrain.
In training, it´s essential to reflect all real-world conditions as closely as possible. If an object can barely be discerned by the human eye or a sensor it will be rendered just like that on this system.
